ACM Programming Contest
On Saturday, October 25, William and Mary participated in the annual ACM
Mid-Atlantic Regional Programming contest along with 150 other teams
across the region at 8 different sites. Our team did their programming
at Christopher Newport University alongside 10 other teams. The team
was made up of Chris Flynn, Ben Strahs, and Bill
Spracklin. The winning team was the University of Maryland which
solved 7 out of 8 problems posed in the 5-hour time limit. Our team
successfully solved a number of problems but in the end did not solve
enough to qualify for the International Competition in Stockholm. If
you are an undergraduate and would be interested in participating in
this contest next year, please see Debbie Noonan (MS 116).
