Alumnus Receives NSF CAREER Award

Songqing ChenSongqing Chen, who received his doctorate from the department in 2004, was awarded an NSF CAREER grant for his proposal titled Internet Resource Management to Deliver High Quality Live and On-demand Streaming for Wireless Clients. Songqing is currently an assistant professor at George Mason University.

This brings the number of our doctoral students who have received NSF CAREER awards to four: Tracy Camp (Ph.D., 1993), currently at Colorado School of Mines; Jean Mayo (Ph.D., 1997), currently at Michigan Technological University; Andy Miner (Ph.D., 2000) currently at Iowa State University; and now Songqing Chen (Ph.D., 2004).
