Student Research
A culture of collaboration
Each year the Charles Center provides about $1 million to William & Mary student researchers to support their projects.
Research is conducted inside and outside of the classroom, both during the semester and the summer. By the time they graduate, more than 80 percent of W&M students will have conducted mentored research. Much of this research results in co-authored publications or presentations at national and international conferences.
Students doing full-time research can request complimentary summer housing from the university.
