Summer Research Grants
The Charles Center offers a number of grants for current undergraduate students to fund summer research in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The majority of these awards are $3,000 to support seven full-time weeks of research during the summer. Application deadline is Feb. 14, 2020.
William & Mary Honors Fellowships support students conducting research for department Honors projects the summer before senior year. An Honors Fellowship is a $4,000 summer grant to conduct 10 full-time weeks of pre-Honors research. With support from University Advancement and the Charles Center, students crowd-source extra money for their own Honors Research. Money raised in excess of student stipend is available for the student and faculty to draw on for project-related expenses. Application deadline is Feb. 14, 2020.
Semester Research Funding
The purpose of the Semester Research Funding Program is to assist students with expenses directly related to the conduct of research that occurs during the academic year. Funding for the Program comes from two sources: the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and the Reves Center. The funds are collectively called Semester Research Grants and the deadline is Oct. 1, 2019 (pending university funding approval)
