Favorite Spot

When I first came to campus, I remember asking my Pre-Major Advisor, “where is the best place to hang a hammock on campus?” He pointed me towards Lake Matoka, where I found the ‘Bote-Dock’. This has become one of my favorite spots to study, hang out with friends, or have time to myself. It allows me to disconnect from the stresses of life and be in the moment. Being surrounded by nature was important to me when picking a college because it makes me feel much more connected to my community. Bote-Dock has been such a safe and comforting place while at William & Mary.
