Rebeca Pineda Burgos, Visiting Assistant Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures, obtained her Ph.D. in Latin American, Iberian, and Latino Cultures from The Graduate Center, City University of New York. Her research focuses on contemporary Venezuelan cultural objects such as novels, film, and visual art and their interpretation of chavismo and sociopolitical Venezuelan reality.
