Bio

Skylar received her B.A. in History from the College of William & Mary in 2025. Her undergraduate thesis, entitled "The One Wearing the Collar: Constructing the Child in Irish Industrial Schools," examined the roles of class and contemporary social thought in institutionalizing children of 20th-century Ireland. Her thesis was awarded high honors. Her current research interests include human rights, historical memory, and social and cultural history in modern Europe.

Since 2023, Skylar has worked as a Student Assistant at William & Mary's Special Collections Research Center. Her role involves assisting patrons in archival research and organizing, curating, and leading classes.
