Bio
Skylar received her B.A. in History from the College of William & Mary in 2025. Her undergraduate thesis, entitled "The One Wearing the Collar: Constructing the Child in Irish Industrial Schools," examined the roles of class and contemporary social thought in institutionalizing children of 20th-century Ireland. Her thesis was awarded high honors. Her current research interests include human rights, historical memory, and social and cultural history in modern Europe.Since 2023, Skylar has worked as a Student Assistant at William & Mary's Special Collections Research Center. Her role involves assisting patrons in archival research and organizing, curating, and leading classes.
