W&M Finance Basics - Overview of university funds, donor funds, university program, procuring & spending, and managing the budget.
Local Funds - Chart W indexes that are aligned with Chart E funds housed at the W&M Foundation. The funds on Chart E are donations or private gifts obtained from outside sources and may have donor restrictions on usage. In order to expense the Chart E funds, the corresponding Chart W index must be used to access W&M systems (i.e. Chrome River, Qlik, BuyW&M, etc.).
Finance Chart of Accounts Training- chart of accounts used in Banner, fund types used by the University, and Banner index and FOAPAL terminology. In Cornerstone Learning, search for “Finance Chart of Accounts Training”.
Foundation Check Requests - Local Fund (1W or 2W indexes) deficits are cleared by reimbursement from the W&M Foundation by way of a Foundation Check Request.
buyW&M - William & Mary's comprehensive Procure-to-Pay solution, buyW&M, is a "one-stop shop" solution designed to maximize operational efficiency and eliminate manual effort while improving the client experience and access to the system.
Qlik: To meet the diverse and extensive reporting needs of the university, William & Mary uses Qlik (pronounced "Click"), a data discovery tool, to ensure effective and efficient decisions. Qlik Sense is the specific product we use to combine, analyze, and visualize institutional data.
SPCC Application: Training MUST be completed before applying. Once training is complete, the applicant must complete the Bank of America SPCC Application via DocuSign. Fill in the name and email for each signing role listed below. Signers will receive an email inviting them to sign this document. Please enter your name and email to begin the signing process.

Chrome River: To sign up for Chrome River training login to Cornerstone Learning and look under search for Chrome River Curriculum. You must click "Request" and open Curriculum to start the training module.

Events with Alcohol Training - an online workshop for the W&M community. Located on Blackboard, this training reviews state law, W&M events with alcohol policy, intoxication rate factors, behavioral cues of intoxication, and intervention techniques. Training is required for each academic year.
