Charlotte Preston MangumThis endowment was established in honor of Professor Charlotte Preston Mangum, an emeritus professor of biology who was well-known nationally and internationally as a distinguished scientist, a scholar, a leader in the scientific community, and a mentor to many students. She was well-known at William & Mary as one who taught undergraduate and graduate students how to do research, how to write, and how to enjoy thinking like a scientist. The endowment provides support for the Charlotte Preston Mangum Prize to recognize a graduating senior for outstanding research in the field of biology at William & Mary, and for the Charlotte Preston Mangum Research Award(s) to support ongoing and planned research for undergraduate students in biology. Contribute to the Mangum endowment.
