Professor Campbell primarily teaches Drawing and Color for studio. His practice as an artist is in oil painting. More recently, he has exhibited at Thomas Deans Fine Art in Atlanta, Georgia, and also had a solo show at The Gatewood Gallery at UNC of Greensboro. He was one of the founding members of a painting collective, Perceptual Painters, where the group exhibits and promotes specific concepts about painting from observation through workshops. Since 2016, David has also had the opportunity to teach painting classes through the Art New England summer program held at Bennington College, Vermont.
