Emergency student funding
WMSURE Mini Grants
WMSURE provides mini-grants up to $400 to support academic and research needs for WMSURE scholars. Funds will be available throughout the 2025-2026 academic year and applications will be accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis (first-come, first-served). All current WMSURE students who are actively participating in the program (attending workshops, mentorships, research, using resources, etc.) are eligible to apply for a mini-grant.
Tribe Emergency Funds
The HEART Fund exists to assist students who are dealing with extenuating circumstances due to financial hardships.
If you or another student is in need of supports and/or resources, please submit a care report. Please contact WMPD (757-221-4695) if you are experiencing an emergency on campus. Additional local and national resources are listed below.
