William and Mary Scholars Undergraduate Research Experience (WMSURE) Faculty Fellows mentor high-achieving undergraduate students. The Faculty Fellows provide holistic academic support, research opportunities, and campus and alumni connections for our WMSURE students. Many of them encourage WMSURE students to participate in their respective summer research projects as part of a lab.
Faculty Fellow duties as follows:
Serve as a pre-major advisor to WMSURE students.
Provide in-person support during WMSURE weeklyworkshops.
Participate in the annual WMSURE conference in the spring semester.
Conduct research with two or three WMSURE scholars in the summer.
The Faculty Fellows serve in a cohort for a 2-year term. Fellows will receive a stipend of $3,000 annually as summer salary. Stipend levels are subject to change due to budget adjustments. Fellows will be evaluated at the end of each semester on their participation, student rapport, and general attendance to WMSURE events and activities.
