Where Scholars are Made
Founded in 2010, William & Mary Scholars Undergraduate Research Experience (WMSURE) was established to address the self-identified needs of W&M Scholars seeking greater support and provide guidance throughout their collegiate journey. Founded by Dr. Cheryl Dickter and Dr. Anne Charity Hudley, WMSURE was designed to connect students with meaningful research opportunities and academic mentorship.
From its inception, WMSURE has focused on:
- Empowering students to pursue undergraduate research across all disciplines.
- Providing mentorship from faculty who champion academic success and inclusive excellence.
- Facilitating connections with faculty and staff from every department and school at William & Mary.
- Offering workshops and resources that help students develop the skills and confidence to reach their full potential.
WMSURE continues to expand the experiences it provides for a vibrant community of scholars committed to inquiry, collaboration, and achievement.
