Viewing Grades & Unofficial Transcripts

NIAHD and the University Registrar do not mail or email semester grades to any of its students. Grades and unofficial transcripts are available for viewing on Banner self-service.

If you attended the NIAHD program less than 8 months ago...

Follow these steps for accessing your final grade and viewing an unofficial transcript:

  1. From the my.wm.edu site, select Banner. Log in using your William & Mary User ID and password. (If you have forgotten your User ID or password, you will need to contact the [[support,Technology Support Center]].)
  2. Select "Student" > "Student Records" > "Academic Transcript" (below the link for "Academic Transcript" you will see in small font “Unofficial Web Transcript for student use.”).
  3. Leave the default values for the drop-down menus, and hit Submit.
  4. You can either right-click on the page and print your Unofficial Transcript, or select print from your web browser’s tools.
If you attended the NIAHD program more than 8 months ago...

You will not be able to view your grades or unofficial transcript online. You must request copies of official transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) website.

Having trouble viewing your grades?

Grades for the Pre-College Program will not be posted until after August 15 of each year.

Grades are only visible through Banner. They will not appear on Blackboard.

If you have any questions about viewing grades, contact the University Registrar during regular business hours.

Ordering Official Transcripts

To request an official copy of your transcript, Pre-College students will need to order it through William & Mary's document manager the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) website. Students can have official transcripts sent as a secure PDF (electronic), hard copy standard mail (USPS), and a hard copy rush/express mail (UPS). They can also track the progress of their order.

A hard copy of your transcript is still $7.00, and an electronic copy is $8.00. Additional vendor fees apply, please see the NSC website for details.

Please direct any questions to the office staff of the University Registrar.

Transferring Credits

When transferring your credits from the Pre-College Program to your undergraduate institution, contact your institution’s academic advising office to determine how the credits will be applied (i.e. whether they will be counted as a core history requirement or listed as an elective course). It is recommended that you keep your course syllabus so that you can submit it to the academic advising office and help your case for applying these credits to an American history requirement.

To transfer your credits, you will need to order an official transcript from William & Mary and have it sent to your school of choice. See instructions for ordering transcripts in the "Ordering Official Transcripts" section above.
