Friedrich Tüxen was born in Berlin, only few years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He went on to study in the field of History and Culture at the Freie Universität Berlin, focusing his academic work on the persian speaking region of the Middle East, especially Iran. Friedrich spent a semester studying in Tehran, fine-tuning his skills in Farsi. He has a special interest in foreign languages and cultures, with a focus on the transfer between languages. In his private life, Friedrich is a passionate drummer and cook.
Friedrich is currently the International Fellow of the German House at William & Mary.
