Congratulations Class of 2026

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
Graduates
We celebrated our undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students on May 16, 2026.  Each year, students mark the end of their time at W&M with friends, family and faculty. We are known for the laurel crowns that each students wear – traditionally worn by victors in ancient athletic events. Students submit “shout-outs”, short statements about their favorite classes, moments, and events over the years. We here offer a few special memories submitted by the Class of 2026.
Andrew Francois: Each of my courses has been a delight, I was privileged to spend an unforgettable time in Rome with Prof. Paga and my peers, and, in this final semester, it's been a joy to tutor Greek and Latin 102 students with Hollis Martin. Everyone, after all, deserves a helping hand through the optative and the aorist passive. Most special of all, however, have been the people. Thank you to everyone––my outstanding peers, the wonderful Ms. Holmes, and all of our exceptional faculty––for making this Department a home.
Katy Lenshin: My favorite memories from my time in the Classics department were a summer spent studying abroad in Rome, and translating Latin in Professor Panoussi's 300-level Latin courses!
Nia Dowling: My favorite memory from my time in the department is definitely my three-week study abroad in Greece. It was such an amazing experience to finally see so many of the sites that I have studied in person. Not only than I was able to make incredible friends during my time there.
Ella Siebentritt-Clark: My favorite memory from my time in the Department is my internship at the museum and archives of the Athenian Agora last summer, where I had the opportunity to work alongside experts, make connections with other students, and explore major Greek sites and museums.
