Student Resources
William & Mary, the second-oldest institution of higher learning in the country, is the birthplace of the American College Fraternity. In December of 1776, students formed the first college social fraternity, Phi Beta Kappa, now an elite honor fraternity with chapters nationwide. The university's pursuit of academic excellence continues among fraternities and sororities with an Order of Omega Chapter.
