Law School Central Utilities Upgrades
The Law School HVAC renewal project includes the replacement of critical infrastructure such as hot water boilers, chillers and auxiliary equipment throughout the complex. The project also includes the planned removal of all existing equipment that is well beyond its useful life and cannot support reliable conditioning of spaces.
This project was Priority Item 1 on the FY25 Capital Plan, entitled "Replace: Law School Central Utility Plant" and had an initial estimated PV of $6,000,000 (GF). An initial review and study was completed by Thompson Consulting Engineers.

Progress
The project has progressed to the Preliminary Design phase and an implementation plan has been developed. An updated cost verification report is needed from the commonwealth that will approve funding for the Working Drawings and Construction phases of the project.
