Background
Lilliana Gonzalez is a technical director, scenic director and production supervisor from Milwaukee WI currently pursuing an MFA in Technical Design and Production at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University. She earned her BFA in Theatre Design and Technology with a minor in Spanish from UWW in 2019 and since then has been developing a strong foundation for both design and technical production through extensive hands-on experience.
With a background in regional theatre, academic institutions, and large-scale festival environments she supports a collaborative, detail driven approach to both design and technical leadership. She has held key roles at the Yale Repertory Theatre, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Black Arts MKE, and Marquette University, emphasizing an inclusive equitable and accessible practice.
Her work has always been rooted in strong craftsmanship, innovative problem solving and a commitment to mentorship. Integrating technical precision with creative vision and supporting the humans who make it happen along the way.
