Located in Windsor, NH, Camp Wediko offers youth ages 8-18 with social, emotional and behavioral challenges the chance to experience the joys of summer camp, while receiving daily group therapy and individualized therapeutic supports facilitated by a clinical team of social workers, mental health clinicians and psychologists. Staff members, consisting mostly of undergraduate and graduate students, work alongside our clinical team observing, participating in and designing clinical interventions. This provides a profound opportunity for staff members to put their academic learning into practice!

Camp Wediko has a variety of openings for undergrad and master's level students looking for field experience.

Postgraduate Associate – Neural mechanisms of maternal psychological risk

The Before and After Baby Lab (The BABL) seeks a postgraduate research associate to work on a NICHD funded study entitled “Neural mechanisms of psychological risk on mother and infant adjustment in African American and European American families” (PIs Helena Rutherford and Ashley Groh). The primary objective of this project is to understand the interplay of maternal psychological risk and neural reactivity to infant cues (using EEG/ERP) on maternal and infant health and well-being across the perinatal period in a diverse sample of women. The postgraduate associate will be responsible for study management and behavioral and EEG data collection and analysis. The postgraduate associate will be overseen by Dr. Rutherford at Yale University.

Research Assistant for the HEALthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) Study
  • The Cognition, Affect, and Psychophysiology Lab (CAP Lab) at Virginia Tech, headed by Dr. Martha Ann Bell, is seeking a Research Assistant for the HEALthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) Study and other lab-related research projects at Virginia Tech.
  • The Research Assistant will join a team of other Research Assistants in the lab and be responsible for the day-to-day functioning of all HBCD research activities and will assist with other lab projects.
  • The Research Assistant will work as a team with CAP Lab Coordinator in data collection (EEG, questionnaires, behavioral observations) in our Blacksburg campus lab and at our satellite lab in Roanoke.
  • This is a limited-term appointment, funded for two years from date of hire after a 6-month probationary period, and with possibility for renewal beyond two years.

The Cognition, Affect, and Temperament Laboratory at Penn State is seeking a full-time Human Research Technologist to work on the HEALthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) study.

This study focuses on pregnant people and their children in the areas of neurodevelopment, behavior, learning, environmental factors, substance exposure, and cognitive functioning.

The start date for the Human Research Technologist is as soon as possible, but those who will not be available until early this summer (2024) will also be considered.
