The Harrison Ruffin Tyler Undergraduate Research Scholarships are intended for majors conducting historical research. There are two types of Tyler scholarships: a Minor Scholarship, typically $100-200, to assist in research conducted in any given semester; and a Summer Scholarship, typically $500-1,000, for research over the summer months, especially in preparation for an honors thesis. The deadlines for Minor Awards are October 22 and February 15; the deadline for the Summer Awards competition is April 1. For applications, see below. Contact the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Professor Fabricio Prado ( [[fpprado]] ), for more information.
