Bio

Phillip received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Penn State University in 2013. He is a first-year graduate student going for his Masters degree in comparative and transnational history. He currently serves as a graduate assistant at Swem's Library Special Collections research center.

Phillip researches slavery in Jamaica and the middle passage to the island during the late eighteenth century. For his MA thesis, he is examining demographic fluctuations of enslaved Africans disembarking in Jamaica during the the age of revolutions.
