Bio
Shannon received her B.A. in History with a concentration in Public History from Roanoke College. Her research interests include Civil War memory, particularly regarding memorialization efforts after the War. As an undergrad, her research was published in the Michigan Journal of History. Before coming to William & Mary, she worked as the interim curator of the Washington County Historical Society, as well as a substitute teacher.
