Background

Professor RyuGyung Park’s research focuses on the interplay between economic and environmental concerns, with a focus on the international political economy of trade protectionism and climate policies. Her dissertation, titled Green Politics and Global Markets: International Economic Competition and Environmental Policy in the U.S., examines how international economic competition affects environmental support. She argues that international economic competition can actually benefit environmental protection. She has several projects that explore how global market integration influences climate action.
