Study Abroad

There are a world of opportunities for Environment & Sustainability students to study in the U.S. or overseas. Many students do specialized environment/ecology programs in Costa Rica, Australia, Kenya, Brazil or in dozens of other places. Many take classes directly at foreign universities. We do our best to have well-selected programs and courses count towards your ENSP major or minor.

Here are some of the steps you might take. First, investigate the programs out there. Some popular ones now are the School for Field Studies (SFS), Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS), the Center for Ecological Living and Learning (CELL), and others. There are even some scholarships available, some are listed at the Charles Center.

The Global Education Office (GEO) at the Reves Center manages all aspects of study abroad programs for WIlliam & Mary. Advisors will guide you from pre- to post-program with research, advising, financial aid opportunities, procedures, academic credit, and more. Learn more about studying abroad at GEO.
