Research interests:
Memory and identity in the late Roman Republic and early imperial period, ideas about human difference from the ancient to the modern world, slavery in antiquity, Latin and Greek philology, the historiography of the field of Classical Studies, and cultural exchange across the ancient Mediterranean.
