How to Declare a CAMS Major

To declare a CAMS major, please follow these steps:

1. Select and meet with a major advisor for your desired track:  Applied Statistics (AS), Mathematical Biology (MB), or Operations Research (OR). The faculty listed can serve as major advisors.
2. Complete the CAMS application for major worksheet [pdf] for your track:
   Applied Statistics Mathematical Biology (Operations Research coming January 2026)
3. Complete the William & Mary major declaration form, listing the same courses that you selected on the worksheet.
4. Have both forms signed by your CAMS major advisor.
5. Have both forms signed by the CAMS track director or CAMS director.

6. Submit the major declaration form to the Registrar's Office.
