Biology professor Diane Shakes researches the cellular mechanisms behind sex cell division in nematodes (a roundworm) and was recently interviewed by US News and World Report for theirstory Studying Roundworm Behavior. Dr. Shakes' research was also featured in a news sotry by the BBC and W&M's Joe McClain's story Researchers document the biology behind a sex oddity.
