William & Mary Alum Helps Locate 1634 Settlement at Historic Saint Mary's City

Travis Parno, who graduated from William & Mary with his B.A. in Anthropology in 2006, is the Director of Research and Collections at Historic Saint Mary’s City. 


On Monday, March 22, Parno announced that the Historic Saint Mary’s City archaeological team has located the remains of a 1634 palisaded fort site, making it the earliest-occupied colonial site in Maryland.
