Safe Hire Training

Anyone serving on a Search Committee or interview panel is required to complete Safe Hire training every two years. This training ensures that all committee members feel confident, prepared, and aligned with best practices for equitable and effective hiring. By strengthening your understanding of appropriate interview techniques and consistent evaluation standards, the training helps create a welcoming experience for candidates and supports strong, well‑informed hiring decisions.

Safe Hire also reinforces William & Mary’s commitment to fairness, consistency and professionalism in the search process. Completing the training equips you with the tools to conduct your search efficiently, respectfully, and in a way that reflects positively on the university.

Safe Hire Training is available in Cornerstone. Log in using your William & Mary ID and password, then type “safe hire” in the search box.
