The Office of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) leads William & Mary’s enterprise data strategy, unifying Institutional Research, Data & Analytics, and data governance to ensure that data is accurate, accessible, and responsibly used. The CDO evolves university-wide data standards, stewardship practices, and analytical platforms to support secure access, quality reporting, and timely, data-driven decisions. The role also prepares W&M for responsible AI by ensuring high-quality, well-governed data that will power future innovation.
University Data
The Fact Books are based on census data that is created every fall and spring and is the basis for regulatory reporting by Institutional Research. Research and explore W&M-detailed data in interactive Fact Books. Access is granted to all W&M staff and faculty via the data discovery tool Qlik (pronounced "Click").
