Majors in the Joint Programme
Students may be able to change their major within the Programme during their first or second year, provided the new major is one of those offered by the Programme. Transferring to a major outside the Programme will result in withdrawal from the Programme entirely. If you are considering a change, consult with the advisor for your prospective major to assess feasibility. Such changes can be challenging and depend on factors including your completed coursework (especially prerequisites) and available space in the desired major.
To remain in the Programme, students must demonstrate consistent progress toward degree completion. The Programme's Catalog Supplement outlines the major requirements that should be met each academic year to remain on track.
Given the intensive nature of the Programme, pursuing a double major is not permitted. However, with careful planning, it may be possible to complete a minor at William & Mary. Please see below for information for each Major.
