The Untethered: Homecoming 2020

William & Mary Theatre & Dance Affiliated Diverse Alumni Return to Share Their Stories

Untethered LogoThe Untethered, a troupe of BIPOC Theatre alumni, present their new work in "Homecoming”. This never-before-seen live online event series features performances of song, dance, spoken word and monodrama exploring the quest of diverse artists to carve out their own space at W&M and the American creative landscape. Followed by an open discussion from the cast, “Homecoming” is more than a performance, it is a “liberated unspooling of untold stories from W&M community”.

THE UNTETHERED: HOMECOMING 2020, documentary film series: Each night opens with Christine Rosa and Xuanye Ivy He's documentary where they interviewed nearly 20 faculty, alumni, and ex-faculty to share their stories and experiences on diversity, race, racism, inclusion, and exclusion as pertains the performing arts at W&M. Each night is set up like a sandwich, the intro and concluding sections are all the same with the featured interviews (and performances) being the difference. Voiceover by Sumie Yotsukura.

This virtual theatre event will have 4 different production runs. Tickets are $7.
