Membership: Casey O’Neal will hold auditions in the Fall in Room 216. Students should reach out to him if interested at cmoneal@wm.edu. Audition materials will be sent out a few days prior to audition. Audition includes: Excerpt, scales and sight reading

About the Crim Dell Sax Quartet

The Crim Dell Sax Quartet is a conductor-less ensemble focusing on creating strong ensemble cohesiveness, player independence, and exploring the classical saxophone repertoire. It is open to music majors and non-majors and an audition is required. Students will have the opportunity to play soprano, alto, tenor, and/or bari sax. The course is a 1 credit performance ensemble.
Course Requirements:
• Practice and rehearse all music assigned
• Bring music, instrument, gear and pencil to rehearsals
• Attend all dress rehearsals and concerts. NO EXCEPTIONS
• Adhere to attendance policy and dress code policy
Course Objectives:
• Learn how to run an ensemble rehearsal
• Explore the saxophone repertoire old and new
• Further develop technique on the saxophone
• Become a better ensemble player through listening, moving, interacting, and preparing.
• Perform pieces to an audience.
