Dean Fields

Biography

Dean Fields is a songwriter, performer, producer, and educator. As a touring artist, he has performed more than 1,000 shows across the United States. His songs have been recorded by Kenny Chesney and Lori McKenna, covered by Billy Currington, and produced by Garth Brooks. He co-wrote the title track for William Clark Green's GRAMMY-nominated album *Baker Hotel*. His songs have reached No. 1 on Texas radio, and his music has been licensed by Disney, Paramount, ABC, Bayer, CVS, and other leading brands and media companies.

A graduate of William & Mary with a degree in Classical Composition, Fields also pursued graduate studies in Music Business and Entertainment Industries at the University of Miami Frost School of Music.

Fields hosts *Song Diving*, an American Songwriter podcast featuring in-depth conversations with acclaimed songwriters about their creative process and the music that shaped them.

Fields approaches songwriting as both a creative practice and a critical discipline, encouraging students to develop the craft, curiosity, and artistic voice needed to build a lasting body of work.
