The Dobro Slovo Scholarship fund was established to support W&M Russian Study abroad program currently in Vilnius, Lithuania for deserving Wiliam & Mary students. Rachel Faith was one of our scholarship recipients. Read about her adventures in Russia [pdf] that were made possible through this scholarship.
The Scholarship is named in honor of the National Slavic Honors Society. This society was originally founded at University of California at Berkeley on October 29, 1926. Dobro Slovo exists to recognize academic excellence in the study of Slavic languages, literatures and history. W&M has a local chapter.
