In the Media: W&M Summer Program in Cádiz Featured in Spanish Newspaper

W&M students arrive in Madrid en route to CádizW&M students participating in our study abroad program in Cádiz were welcomed by distinguished representatives from Universidad de Cádiz, who highlighted the importance of these kinds of programs in enriching the academic lives of both the visiting students and the host institution. This vibrant group of students was accompanied by Resident Director of the program, Prof. Garrote Pascual, and Ms. Yaye Baena, Director of our partner institution Centro MundoLengua. This institutional event was featured in the local newspaper, Diario de Cádiz.

While earning a total of 9 credits and enjoying unique experiences abroad, students in the W&M-sponsored summer program in Cádiz also carry out an independent research project under the mentorship of Prof. Garrote Pascual. In the past, research projects have focused on a wide variety of topics, from urban geography or tourism to immigration, gender and politics, and public health.
