The Joys of Homecoming
This was a special Homecoming year. We just celebrated 30 years of the McCormack-Reboussin Scholarship, an annual $12,000 award that funds a rising senior's summer research in a Francophone country while also covering a significant portion of their fourth-year tuition. We had the great pleasure of hearing remarks by former President Tim Sullivan, Emeritus Professor St. Onge, and our generous donor Leslie McCormack Gathy, in addition to welcoming back twelve of our Scholars who shared precious memories and reflections on the value of those research experiences in their lives today. The event also featured an exciting presentation by our current Scholar Chloe Gang '26 who spoke about her ongoing work on the cultural dimensions of the chemical revolution in eighteenth-century France. Saturday brought more joy as French & Francophone majors from the classes of '79 to '25 joined us for a Homecoming breakfast.
