Japanese Studies & Biology
Coming into W&M, I knew that I wanted to major in both Japanese Studies and Biology. Through the Japanese Studies program I’ve been able to make numerous friends. My favorite memories come from living in the Japanese House and the various events we hosted. In my junior year, I studied abroad in Osaka. One of the classes I enjoyed most there was Osaka Dialect, and it has been very fulfilling being able to improve my Japanese language skills over my time at W&M. Studying abroad helped me better understand daily life in Japan and strengthened my interest in living there. After graduation, I plan to pursue either a Master of Science in Biology at the University of Tokyo or a Master of Science in Plant Sciences in Germany.
