Hispanic Studies & Psychology

I am a Hispanic Studies and Psychology double major, and I am so grateful that I have gotten to participate in the Hispanic Studies program throughout my time at William & Mary. One of my favorite experiences from the program is when I got to study abroad in Spain through the Cádiz program. This was a fantastic experience where I got to learn more about the Spanish language and culture, but I also got the opportunity to do an independent research project while I was there. I have enjoyed being a TA for the Hispanic Studies program for the past two years. I loved getting to work closely with Profesoras Pineda Burgos and Carrión, and I learned so much from their expertise. They are truly both fantastic professors. I hope to use what I have learned from the Hispanic Studies program in my future career, not only through using Spanish, but also through using the skills I have learned, including skills in researching and presenting. I do not have any concrete plans for the future, but I am hoping to pursue a career in which I can travel. I am incredibly grateful for all of the professors in the department, and I have enjoyed all of the experiences and opportunities I was presented with through the Hispanic Studies program.
