French & Francophone Studies & Economics

My name is Sienna Ellis, and I am graduating with a double major in Economics and French & Francophone Studies! My time with the French department has been incredible, from amazing classes to study abroad to unforgettable professors who have left lasting impacts on my life. Spending Summer 2024 in Montpellier with Professor Compan was one of my favorite memories of all of college - it was so fun to bond with my classmates while completing a research project on the initiative to make public transportation free for residents of the city. Additionally, the classes I took with Professors Pacini, Leruth, and Brehm were always so insightful, and I will miss them all dearly! Following graduation, I will be moving back to my hometown of Dallas, Texas to begin a job in economic consulting. My company has four French-speaking offices around the world, and I hope to eventually visit these locations and use the skills learned during my time with the French department at W&M!
