Lena Bullard

I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that the French Department has given me. First, I want to thank all of the amazing professors in the French Program who have challenged me intellectually and transformed my understanding of the French language. The courses I took with Professor Compan, Professor Pacini, and Professor Leruth have been among the most enriching I have taken at William & Mary. I want to give a special shoutout to Professor Compan for chairing my honors thesis and supporting me throughout the process. Studying abroad in Paris in the fall of 2024 with the IFE program provided me with lifelong friends and practical experiences using French in the workplace. I will forever treasure all of the experiences I was so lucky to have learning and growing in the French Department and abroad! Next year I will be working at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace as a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow.
