Hispanic Studies & Psychology

I am graduating this spring as a major in Hispanic Studies and Psychology. I studied abroad with the La Plata semester program and am in my fourth semester of the TA internship. I have also had the honor of serving as a student representative on the MDLL Diversity and Inclusion Committee during this academic year. This fall, I will attend the VCU School of Social work to pursue master's studies and plan to become a clinical social worker to provide mental health counseling. My time with the department has left me with theoretical touchstones that I will always put to use in my work and continue to nurture. Some of my favorite experiences in the department have been class discussions and presentations from visitors where a peer or professor frames a concept in a way that I had never thought to before. In Hispanic Studies courses, it has always been easy to have fun learning. A la gente queridísima que compone el departamento que me ha traído tanto, gracias.
