Hispanic Studies & International Relations

Hi! My name is Colin, and I am a Hispanic Studies and International Relations double major. Although I didn’t initially plan on pursuing Hispanic Studies, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made at W&M. The diverse classes offered me invaluable cultural awareness and new perspectives that have shaped my understanding of the world. A standout moment was taking HISP 207 with Professora Pineda Burgos, which ignited my passion for Spanish. Some of my most memorable experiences include spending a summer in Cádiz with Professora Cate and serving as a teaching assistant this semester. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career as an immigration paralegal, with long-term aspirations of attending graduate school and possibly working in Spain.
