Aidan McCullogh
French & Francophone Studies & European Studies
Hello! My name is Aidan McCullough, and I am a graduating senior with a major in French and francophone studies. Originally from Long Island, New York, I made my way down to W&M four years ago (pfew time flies), with the intention of building my language skills. In addition to the French and francophone studies curriculum, I studied Russian language during my full four years at W&M. Some aspects of my time with MLL that will remain with me as I move forward will definitely be the following: my time working as a co-captain at the French language house; the study abroad opportunity with IFE, a third party connected with W&M for sending French speaking students to live and work abroad; this past year working with my honors thesis advisor, Prof. Michael Leruth. Exchanged many ideas, stories, and good company; fun Russian department functions, such as the Russian Olympics, small department-level gatherings and research conferences. In short, MLL has left a lasting impression on my time at W&M. The skills, relationship-building capacity, and work experiences will be carried with me for the rest of my academic and professional life.
