French & Francophone Studies & Economics

I came into college unsure as to whether I wanted to continue my French studies, but my six-person seminar in the fall of my freshman year, "The Sexual Contract", immediately solidified my interest. From there, I met some of my closest friends during discussions in "Revolution" and "Imagining Happiness", discovered my love for research and niche primary source texts during my year-long independent study, and truly fell in love with the French culture and language during a semester at a local university in Paris. The French department quickly became my home at William & Mary, and I will miss the community more than I can say once I graduate. Guided by incredible mentorship from the department, I am moving to Charlottesville in May to pursue a M.Ed in Higher Education at UVA, and I hope to one day provide the same level of support and care to future generations of students that I was privileged to receive from all French & Francophone Studies faculty.
