Veronica Bondi
French and Francophone Studies & Finance
Hello! I'm Veronica, a French and Finance double major from Brooklyn, NY. The French department has been one of my favorite and most rewarding parts of William & Mary. All of my French professors have been so kind, supportive, and generous with their time. They have such a passion for teaching and clearly care deeply about their students. I love how small the department is. It's so special to enter the classroom on the first day of classes and already know my classmates and professor. It makes the department feel like home.
The highlight of my experience as a French major was study abroad. I spent the spring semester of my junior year at Sciences Po in Grenoble, France. While there, I embraced the slower, more balanced French lifestyle. I learned how to snowboard, went on hikes, and ate the most amazing food. On top of improving my French, study abroad also helped me develop a much more nuanced understanding of French culture. I left with new friends, a full heart, and an undying love for the French Alps.
