Adelaide Meade

Throughout my experience as a Chinese major, I have been able to learn and grow more than I could have ever imagined.  I am so thankful for the amazing opportunities I have had access to thanks to the support from the Chinese program and staff.  Without Lin Laoshi and Su Laoshi, I would have not been able to confidently complete an internship in Beijing.  Especially in the context of society today, it is extremely meaningful to be able to have access to a nuanced and encouraging department in which I was able to learn not only just a language, but also an understanding of my place in the world.  In the future, I hope that Chinese is William & Mary's biggest major!
