Russian Studies

It is difficult to put the gratitude I feel for the Russian Studies program– and all of the wonderful people who are a part of it– into words. What I've learned as a Russian language and literature minor encompasses far more than just those two things: my involvement in the Russian program taught me to not be afraid to pursue interests that are seemingly unrelated to my career, to never stop reading Dostoyevsky, that my most meaningful friendships may be with people who have totally different goals and interests and, perhaps most importantly, that the world really can be small if we choose to make it so. Following graduation, I will be relocating to the Southwest to pursue my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. My research will focus on the psychophysiological basis of psychopathy and mass shooting survivor outcomes.
