Hannah Saad

    Through a number of diverse experiences, I have gained so much from being a part of the Hispanic Studies program and am incredibly grateful to this program for allowing me to foster my love of learning about the world. The Hispanic Studies faculty is full of brilliant scholars who have helped me to develop a well-rounded appreciation for a diverse array of topics, from Puerto Rican cultural production to human rights advocacy in Argentina. ​

   My learning in this department has been complimented by the multiple opportunities that I have had to study abroad. The Hispanic Studies program has granted me the chance to spend my spring break in Gibraltar and southern Spain in 2022 which, later, inspired me participate in W&M's Semester in Sevilla program in Spring 2023. I also traveled to Argentina during January 2024 with the W&M winter program. The opportunity to study abroad as an undergraduate has been the most rewarding and exciting part of my college experience and one I would not trade for anything. ​
Thank you MLL for providing me with a community full of diverse and passionate scholars, it has been a pleasure to be a part of.
